AI agent and LLM security: prompt injection, tool abuse, key leaks

Short answer

AI agent security means making sure a model cannot be talked into leaking secrets, calling tools it should not, or fetching internal addresses. Hackaiz reviews agent code and, when you authorize an endpoint, sends harmless canary prompts to see whether context or keys leak — mapped to the OWASP Top 10 for LLM applications.

Risks Hackaiz looks for

  • Prompt injection that overrides instructions or reveals the system prompt.
  • Tools with more permissions than needed (write, delete, send).
  • URL-fetching tools that can reach internal networks (SSRF).
  • API keys logged, echoed or sent to user-controlled addresses.
  • Authentication disabled by default or fallback keys in code.

Evidence, not guesses

Every AI finding carries the prompt sent and the response received, or the exact code location. If an endpoint cannot be reached, the report says the check did not run instead of reporting it as safe.
